PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION

The competition is going to start any minute from now. All the contestants
and the guests are invited to come inside the hall and take your seats. Thank
you.
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh and a very good morning to
all of you. On behalf of the organising committee, we are pleased to welcome
all of you for this year PUBLIC SPEAKING competition.
Without wasting any of time, I would like to ask for permission to start on the
program. For your information, there are 16 schools altogether who
participate in this year public speaking competition.
Ladies and gentlemen, before we start our competition, I would like to invite
the honorable judges and the time keeper to take their seats. Let me
introduce to all of you the judges for todays competition. The first judge is
EN AB HARDI BIN AB RAHMAN as a chief judge. The next person beside him is
CIK MUHARAMI ASWANI BT AHMAD as the second judge and PN NURUL
HANIAH BINTI HASSAN as the third judge. All the judges decisions are final
and individual marks will not be disclosed. The timekeeper for this
competition is CIK SITI AISHA BINTI OTHMAN

Let me read to you the competition rules: The competition is divided into two
sections, as follows: Section 1 Prepared speech
Section 2 impromptu speech
For section 1 , contestants are to observe the following rules:
The contestants should deliver a prepared speech on a topic of their
choice for 4 to 6 minutes. A warning bell will be sounded at the 5th minute
and a final bell at the 6th minute. Marks will be deducted thereafter.
For section 2, contestants are to observe the following rules:
The Contestants are given a topic 4 minutes before they are due to present
the speech. All contestants speak on the same topic. The time allocated
for the impromptu speech is 3 minutes A warning bell will be sounded at
the 2nd minute and a final bell at the 3rd minute. Marks will be deducted
thereafter. The judging criteria for both speeches are on two aspects which
are subject matter and the use of the language. The important things are to
make sure that you know your direction and set a focus for your speech.

Now, we shall start the first round of the competition which is prepared
speech. *I would like to remind all the contestants to finish their speeches
within the time given which is 4 to 6 minutes. Under the competition rules,
marks will be deducted after 6 minutes. Here are some reminders:
1.Teachers are not allowed to guide and help your students.
2. The audience need to lower down your voices throughout the competition.
3. All the contestants need to project your voice

Welcome back. We will proceed with the second session of this Public
Speaking competition, the Impromptu Speech.
I would like to remind all the contestants to finish their speeches within the
allocated time which is 3 minutes. Under the competition rules, marks will be
deducted after 3 minutes.

Now, we have come to the end of this competition. The results will be announced during the closing
ceremony later. Before we end, We would like to acknowledge the importance of the judges who
came by and adjudicate with wisdom to pick the winners for todays competition. Without their
commitments and wise decisions we would not get the winner for todays competition.
We hope that this competition will be a sweet memory to all the contestants nevertheless you win or
