GENERAL PLAN OF ACTION

1. TO PROPERLY DISSEMINATE INFORMATION TO THE SOTECH STUDENT BODY AND
ENCOURAGE ACTIVE PARTICIPATION.
In the previous semesters, Sotech students have tend to miss out on
attending or participating in events that is Sotech based. This is mainly due to the
fact that the students are not informed prior said activities. Not everyone can attend
the organized General Assemblies because of the conflict of their schedules with
their classes hence, leaving them clueless of what was discussed. Due to this,
students develop a trait of discouragement to join in events because they are not
informed or briefed of event details thereby lessening student participation. I,
together with the future Student Council, aim to stop this cycle. We will devise a new
strategic system of information dissemination for the release of the GAs agenda,
minutes and for the necessary preparations to be done for the event. With this, we
see a higher possibility of maximum participation from the students towards Sotech
events therefore giving us the will drive to perform better as the Sotech Student
Council.
Specific actions:
Setting up Sotech Connect (active social media account)
Social media is a great way of informing students of recent events .
With Sotech Connect, I believe we can deliver news with the quickest speed
to students of the latest updates during meetings, General Assemblies and
events in Sotech. This will also update them of the future events and plans of
the Student Council and the Administration. Sotech Connect will also serve
as a continuing project for the social media accounts currently owned by the
Sotech Student Council and will be a venue for improvement of these
accounts.

Pioneering of an Internal Communications Committee

The Batch Representatives serve as a liaison of information from the

students to the Student Council. Their jobs include those of being the
messengers of their batch mates of the information and decisions made

during General Assemblies and meetings and they are the finance officers of
their batch. This heavy work load often tires out the Batch Representative
and is quite a difficulty. I aim to work hand in hand with the members of
Sotechs Official Publication, Tibud, and the members of this Internal
Committee to be an aid to Batch Representatives and serve as the main
source of information to be sent to the different year levels. Since Sotech
events are divided by batch, this Internal Committee will be in-charge of
information dissemination to the specific groups targeted and this may lessen
the load of our Batch Representatives.
