MultiMedia Presentation Summary Sheet

1. Topic- The PowerPoint presentation is on counting numbers 1- 10. Each slide contains
one number. With each number there is a variety of objects to correlate with number. The
purpose for the presentation is to teach children their numbers from 1 to 10, the
importance learning your numbers to learn to count objects around you, and prepare for
learning addition and subtraction.
2. Audience- The age group that is appropriate for learning these early skills is Pre-K. The
students may have been introduced to the numbers by parents or family members
preparing them for Pre-K. All children of every cultural learn their numbers around this
time, but in third- world countries children may learn to count different things and in a
less traditional way then children from America. For example, traditionally children in
America start counts with blocks, some type of candy, or maybe crayons and they learn
from play, whereas a child in a third- world country may learn by working in the land or
cooking a small meal.
A child with a disability such as down syndrome may need to learn at a slower pace. The
teacher could try to start with just learning 1 to 5 instead, and then later when they grasp
that concept, the teacher can add on. Along with that they may need to communicate in
small groups as well as one on one time with the teacher.
3. The Objectivesa. By watching the short song about the numbers from 1 to 10, students will be able to
repeat the numbers back to the teacher in the order they were given with one hundred
percent accuracy.
i.
The objective will be met in the second slide of the presentation, where the
hyperlink of the video is located, and reinforced by slides 1- 11, where
children see the numbers once again and have varies items to count and look
at.
b. Given a number, students will be able to identify the number and give an example of
something that is that number.
ii.
The objective with be met through the all the slides of the show, and practiced
through an activity I made to go along with the slides.
4. Supporting Media- The support media I used was a video from www.youtube.com. It
was used in the second slide as an introduce and tool for the students to remember the
order of the numbers. The video includes the numbers forwards and backwards, using
chicks are balloons which I included in my PowerPoint to connect with the video.
5. ISTE Standards4c. Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making: collect and analyze data to
identity solutions and/ or make informed decisions.
Students will collect data from the PowerPoint as well as the video to identify the
solutions to the following activities and for play-time also.

3d. Research and Information Fluency: Process data and reports results.
Students will apply the digital tool of the video to gather, evaluate, and use the
information that they have learned.
6. Follow- up Activitiesa. I will have my classroom play a matching game to match the number to the number
of items, using a poster manipulative.
b. I will give my students a big bowl of buttons and I will say a number I want them to
take out of the bowl, so they have to use they counting to come up with the correct
number.
c. We can also at the end of the week, play a game of hop scotch or something similar so
they can use their number skills to count the blocks they have to move, or a board
game with dice to have them count the number of moves the need to make.
