Unit Summary

Students will learn about the geography of the United States, weather patterns in the United
States, presidents of the united states and Math will relate to United States.

Student Objectives/Learning Outcomes

Social Studies: By the end of the lesson students will be able to identify 15 out of 44
presidents when shown a photo or given a fact about a particular president.
Science: Students will be able to identify the different climates of the different regions
Geography: Students will be able to label the different regions of the nation and identify
different characteristics that make up each of them
Math: Students will be able to calculate various problems using real world instances

Hearing Impaired can use the Braille lyric sheet, Learning


Disabilities can be given photos of the president with bold
letters and which number president it was. Students can be
placed within close proximity to the teacher.
Non- Native students can listen to the CD on individual
headphones in their native language. Student will also be given
extended time to complete assignments along with assistance
from peer or staff member
Gifted students will be able to pick a president they know little
about and preform the song by themselves for extra credit.
