1. Please describe your job title and responsibilities.
I am a pediatrician, I see babies, toddlers, kids, and teenagers all the way up to the
age of 18. I have recently just started, so I am still building my practice.
2. What is your educational background?
I went to school in New Jersey all the way until high school, and then I went to
medical school in India for 6 and a half years.
3. Does your job require a college degree or special certification?
Yes, a medical degree.
4. How long have you been employed in this industry / position(s)?
I have been employed for one year.

2. What are the most common cases you see in the office, and what do you
prescribe for these cases?
Upper respiratory infections, like cough or cold. For things like fever, Id recommend
Childrens Tylenol or Motrin, just medications you can get over the counter.
3. Are there any at home remedies you know of that parents can use to solve these
cases?
Stay hydrated, most of these infections are viral ones that the body can fight off on
their own. For the most part, a humidifier, steam inhalator or vaporizer can help.
4. What is your standard procedure for checking growth of development? (Physical,
screening tests, growth chart, what kind of questions do you ask the parent?)
We have a growth chart where we can track weight and height, and we mark them
in percentiles.
5. Some people believe that flu shots and vaccinations in general, are ineffective. As
a doctor, how do you feel about flu shots and other vaccinations?
Id recommend it to parents and educate the parents of the benefits of getting
vaccinations. Many parents might want to get their children vaccinated because
schools require them here in the U.S.
6. Do you recommend that mothers breast feed or give their babies powder milk?
Why?
It is recommended for mothers to breast feed, but Im not opposed to powder
formula. Mothers are more than welcome to alternate between the two.
7. When do you feel that solid foods should be introduced and what foods do you
think babies should start with?
6 months-------Parents should start with fruits and veggies
8. What are some of the most common mistake you see parents make when it
comes to their childs health?

Some parents use Orajel when their babies are teething because many babies drool,
get fussy, or have swollen gums.

all you can do. Also, a steam bath or humidifier would help. Only kids over the age
of two could eat honey to help.

We plot it on a growth chart. I ask questions about past medical history, and
anything that has happened in the past year I should know about. For example,
there are certain milestones that we want babies to meet at their yearly visits. At 6
months, the baby should be sitting, or at 12 months, the baby should be walking
and saying some words.
5. Some people believe that flu shots and vaccinations in general, are ineffective. As
a doctor, how do you feel about flu shots and other vaccinations?
Vaccinations are effective. Everyone should get them.

Breast milk best builds up the immune system and provides nutrients. But if a
mother cant breast feed, powder milk is good too.
