Chapter 1: Creating a student-centered classroom


Description
The students have the flexibility to study how they want and set up
the classroom as they like. Student-center classroom Divided into
four sections. These sections are student center definition, student
center learning, classroom routine and classroom set up.

Student

center has two main intended addresses that distinct learning


needs instructional approaches and academic support strategies.
.There is two ways of student center learning which are cognitive
and social. The student center routine is that the students have to
organize their routine. The routine is what they always have to do
every day at the same time. Classroom set up is that the teacher
asks the students to create their space.

Example
In since lesson the teacher asks the students to create their own
Wind scale by giving them the instructions only. One child from each
group takes the materials from the basket. The students create the
Wind scale using plate pencil and adhesive and design it as they like
individually.

Reflective
The teacher uses the students center in a good way but some of the
students did not do anything because they need someone to show
them how to make the wind scale even though the teacher give
them the instructions. So, I think that students center is not
working for all the students. If I was the teacher, I will show the
students example of the wind scale.

Chapter2: Encouraging positive behavior


Description
The teacher can build the positive heavier of the students by
building a positive relationship with them. She can build a positive
relationship with them by giving them the responsibility. For
example, solving their problems with each other. She must keep
them feeling safe and comfortability. Also, she mush smile to the
students and hug them when they need. The teacher has to teach
the students how they created the positive behavior can be learned.
A safe and caring environment that supports positive learning
behavior needs to be created.

Example
The teacher makes every month a certificate of positive behavior for
the students. She observes the students hall month to choose one
of them. This student should be quit, helper, respectful and behave
in a good way.

Reflective
The teacher uses a good way to encourage students positive
behaver. But she should do this every week to make them enthused.
In my opinion, if the students feel safe from beginning, the teacher
will not take all year to manage the classroom and punish the
students.

Chapter Three: Catering to different student learning


styles

Description
Each person has tendencies toward particular styles. They can learn
more and faster by their tendency. So, by different styles of
teaching the students will learn more and it will be easy for the
teacher to teacher. There are many different learning styles. They
are Visual by using pictures, and spatial understanding, Musical
using music and sound, Bodily- Kinesthetic by using body and sense
of touch, Interpersonal by learning in groups, Verbal-linguistic by
using words in speech and writing, Logical-mathematical by using
logic and systems, Naturalistic and Intrapersonal by work alone and
others.

Example
In math lesson the teacher made activities in different learning
styles. The lesson was about once and tens. She starts with a video
and then she made a group of 5 students and gave them a question
that has 3 parts. After that, she gives each student a worksheet to
answer individually. At the end of the lesson, she opens for them a
website to play games that relate to the lesson.

Reflective

Making a lesson with different learning style of activities or learning


help the students to learn better. Because, each student has a
different learning style. The students will not feel bored if the
activities are a different style. For example, the teacher put a video
about the lesson with is Visual learning style. In my opinion, by
repeat and practice, the students will learn more.

Chapter Four: Lesson planning


Description
Making lesson plan of the lesson is useful for the teacher. The
lesson plan has an object that explains the activity with smell
details. We use the Blooms Taxonomy to choose the objective of the
sentences. In this way, if any one takes the lesson plan, they will
know how to do the lesson because it shows what the students will
do and what the teacher should prepare. Blooms Taxonomy has 6
stages. These stages started from exhibit memory of learned
materials by recalling facts, terms, basic concepts, answers and
present and end in defending opinions by making judgments about
information.

Example
My school TP teachers Gather on Thursday to make a lesson plan for
the next week of each subject. The entire teacher follows the lesson
plan specificity. My MST follow the lesson plan but sometimes she
does not have time because her students are weak. However, she
changes the lesson plan and make it students center when she feel
that her students need it.

Reflective
The teacher prepares for the lesson in a good way. She follows it in
specifically. Sometimes she changes the lesson to make it more
students center. In my opinion, the teacher must change the lesson
plan when she feels that this will not help her students and change
it to the way that can help the students.

Chapter Five: Managing classroom routines and


transitions

Description
Routines and Transitions are important in the classroom for teacher
and students because, it make the classroom organized and flexible.
The routine is what happening every day in the class for example,
morning sample and schedule. Transition is the movement that
students will do for example, moving from class to PE or form
subject to other.

routines and transitions have three categories

which are what she want to look like, how she want to be the sound
like and how will the students will feel about.

Example
When the students finish math class and start the English class the
teacher asks the students to bring their English book from the shelf.
Some of the students go and others are playing. It looks not
organized, its sound noisy and they dont feel safe.

Reflective
The teacher must organize the transition of the students between
classes and between activities during the class. This is her
responsibility us a teacher. In my opinion, the teacher must teach
the students the routine and teach them the transition in the
binding of the year and practice it in during the lesson. If I were the
teacher, I would let the leader of each group to go and take the
books.

Chapter Six: Performing the roles and duties of a teacher

Discerption
All teachers have a rule and duty they may follow it. The rule is
something that it came from their self without taking funds. For
example, be friendly, give them more work to improve the students
level and making competition among the group of students and
teachers, manage classroom, be a good teacher, successful and
organize the time. Duty is something that teachers must do it and
they get funds for it. Like teaching the students, making lesson
plan, ASS the students, evaluate the students and observe students
behave.

Example
Last week when I went to TP, the teacher gave to the student a
worksheet that related to the lesson, which is about majoring the
size. The students major the size of table, door, chair and bored by
rule of 1 meter.

Reflective
The teacher tried her best to improve the students level by giving them
worksheet.in my opinion, she only uses this strategy which is not perfect.
She has to make for them games or ask them a question. Also, she can
extend the topic with real life so they can understand it more.

Chapter Seven: Reflective Statement


I learned from this course a lot of think that will help me in Fulcher. I learned that
the teacher has rule and duet. And the successful teacher will do both. Also, I learn
that the students learn more and faster with students center. However, the
students have different learning style from others. In the future when I will be a
teacher, I will use students center in the class every day to make them excited for
the lesson and have fun during the lesson. Also, I will make be activities and the
lesson with different learning styles to help the students understand well.
