students enjoy the class more and this enjoyment leads to a better
concentration in the lesson.
3. Notice which activities are repeated with a variety of
learning styles e.g. read a story, act the story, draw the
story. Can you find other examples e.g. math or science.
When the students learned new vocabulary words the teacher made
five activities to make sure the students understand the words.
Group one had to match the words with their meaning, group two
drew pictures about the word, group three wrote sentences about
each words, group four had to use a dictionary and find the
meanings, and group five read the story that had those vocabulary
words in it. In the next class the groups switched the activities. So,
all the groups did all the activities.
4. How can teachers improve student learning by using a range
of learning styles?
The teacher can integrate as much of learning styles as possible in
their lessons. This is because the more senses are involved in the
learning process the more the student is able to understand the
topic.
