STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Being a fresher MSIL would one of the best platform to start my career with, to
enhance my skills
In my undergraduate years, I've acquired a strong background in the fundamentals
of the basic tool engineering subjects like Mold, Press tool, Metal cutting and CAD
softwares like AutoCAD, UG-NX. I also have made several press tool and
Automobile part drawings like Radial Engine assembly in UG-NX.
Also, i have successfully accomplished my Six Weeks Industrial In-Plant training in
Manufacturing and Maintenance of Injection and Blow Molds from Motherson
Molds and Die-casting Ltd. (MMDL), who are regular suppliers to MSIL for the
Injection and Blow Molds of automobiles parts.
If given a choice, my first preference will be to join as Product Planner or Body &
Interior designer & Development under Engineering Division in Engineering
Cluster.
I chooses this as my first preference because, I have meaningful interest in the field
of designing especially in new product designing, I have effectively completed my
diploma course in product design from the Cadd Centre. I have good knowledge of
solid modelling, surfacing, sheet metal, assembly and drafting in UG-NX and
AutoCAD.
And, the second preference will be to join Production Engineering (PE) Division in
Production Cluster.
I chooses this because, this is one of the key Divisions which is responsible for
setting up of New Plants and modification of the existing facility to produce products
as per marketing requirement, under this division i would get know how to produce to
meet the market requirement and will be able to learn the process for transforming
the designed product into a manufactured commodity, which will help me and take
me one step closer to full fill my dream in setting up my own mold and press tool
industry in future and create employment opportunities. During my training period in
MMDL i learned a lot, got to know about manufacturing of molds going under
various stages or machining process like CNC machining, EDM machining,
polishing, blue maching of molds and also learned various type of cooling system
used for mold, hot runner system, type of ejection system used and various elements
of mold.
