Who is Dr. Schaeffer?

is a Doctor of
Podiatric Medicine (DPM), and
the founder of
Injury Institute.
After completing his undergraduate studies and excelling among
his peers at Penn State University, Dr.
Schaeffer earned his Doctor of Podiatric
Medicine degree from P.C.P.M., (now
known as theTemple University School
of Podiatric Medicine) in 1972.
e has been an active member of
the American Podiatric Medicine
Association (APMA), and has established an impressive practice throughout
the Philadelphia area with his current
Pennsylvania license. Dr. Schaeffer is also
a nominee to be a participant in Whos
WhoinPodiatric Medicine andis also a
long-standing Masonic brother.
r. Schaeffer is also the creator of his own brand of foot
orthotics, known as The Ritz, as well as
an extensive line of foot creams, such as
Dr. Schaeffers Smooth as Silk, and Dr.
Schaeffers Injurcare Cream.

What We Do

he effects of trauma to the human

spine are multi-faceted. The vector
forces that shock the spine not only lead to
nerve damage, joint space intrusions, and
inflammatory eruptions, but also cause
the entire skeletal framework to alter its
dynamic integrity.
he improper dynamic of the biomechanial complex, post-trauma, causes
a patient to
have weakness
of muscle
bellies and
tendon cords
in one area of
the body, while
it forces other
areas to compensate in deleterious ways.
e are compelled to re-balance
this altered and compromised
musculo-skeletal frame by re-establishing a normal ambulatory gait flow, and
restoring neutrality in the knees and hips,
disrupted vertebrae, and stressed muscles.
We implement programs that teach gait
re-education and motion restorative
exercises, and physical medical applications
that will enhance function. To complete
our approach, we make use of adjunctive
therapies that will quell chronic pain and
their associated acute disruptions and
interferences throughout the body.
