Water Cycle 2
Procedure
1. Students will review the different parts of the water cycle by reviewing the diagram
with their teacher. See Resource section for
2. Students will be asked to imagine they are a lake. How would you feel the sun heating
you up? How could you use your body to show that? How could you use your body
to show water evaporating?
3. The teacher will continue this line of questioning with the whole group, focusing on
each stage of the water cycle. Once all of the stages have been discussed, direct the
students to find a comfortable spot. Then, direct them each to use their body to
demonstrate evaporation and condensation.
Student Evaluation
The teacher will observe the students accurately demonstrating and discussing the various
stages of the water cycle - use of appropriate vocabulary and body language.
