Explain: Even if students were not engaged, they were doing what they are supposed to do in
the class. So, majority of the students were on task.

Explain: In the beginning of the class, teacher was explaining the topic, and solving questions. It
was a lecture, but teacher was not only talking. He was asking questions to students, and
solving questions with students. Then there was a group work, and he was walking around and
monitoring students.

Explain: Teacher used the board to write questions for warm up. Students solved those
questions in their notebooks. Then he showed a power point from a projector. Mimiopad is used
to solve problems. At the end, Students worked in pairs to solve some questions from the

textbook.

Explain: Students were also sitting in pairs in entire class. They worked in pairs to solve some

Explain: Students were listening to the teacher, and discussing problems with teacher during the
lecture time. When students started to work in pair, they used their textbook to solve questions
by discussing together.

Explain:

Teacher was walking around the room, and helping and giving feedbacks to students. At
the beginning, there were some students who dont work. When he walks to them and
help about the question, they started to work.
OVERALL COMMENTS AND REFLECTIONS:
The class that I observed was 6th grade Math class. Students were clever and respectful. They listen
carefully teachers lecture, and answered the questions. it all seemed to me that they understood the topic
after lecturing. During transition from lecturing to group work, some students wanted to go to restroom,
but teacher told them wait a few minutes. It was a good idea not sends them immediately when they ask,
because after a while just one student wanted to go to restroom. The others continued their work. The
class was loud in the begging of group activity, but it reduced when teacher started to walk around.
Students were discussing questions when they work in pairs. They were solving problems together. The
class was good and students learn the lesson. There were no students cause big problems. The teacher
could remind students about homework, and dismiss them, but students left from the room when they
heard the bell.
