I had to create my own stop motion by following the rules and regulations that the brief
stated, this was to have the advert ready to air for the set time and date my brief stated.
My brief asked me to create a short television advert to be broadcast for a new television
channel. When making the advert, I had to stick to the rules and regulations otherwise I
could breach the contract. I negotiated that I wanted my advert to be slightly longer than
thirty seconds as my advert would not flow properly.
I wouldnt really compare my work to any animators as none of them have used moving
images like I have, In a way, I could link mine advert back to the first ever moving
images, the Luminere Brothers. Louis photographed the world around him and some of
his first films were 'actuality' films, like the workers leaving the factory. The brothers
began to open theatres to show their films. In the first four months of 1896 they had
opened Cinmatographe theatres in London, Brussels, Belgium and New York. A three-inone device that could record, develop and project motion pictures, the Cinmatographe
would go down in history as the first viable film camera. Like the brother, I was
responsible for capturing the models whilst using a tripod to keep the camera steady to
avoid any shakiness so it look presentable and professional as possible to the viewers.
Similar to the brothers, I used a high frame rate to ensure all movement of my models
was fast and smooth so it looked realistic.

I think my animation has gone
really well. I feel like I have
captured some really nice
images that are clear and detail,
I used a cannon eos six hundred
D along with a wide angle lens
to capture as much scenery as
possible in order for it to look
eye striking for the viewers,
However I do feel like I could of
improved some of the camera
angles, especially towards the
end as I rushed slightly in order
to get the production ready on
time. I feel like I have met the
brief as it asked for the indent to
be creative and represent individuality.
I edited all my images so it looked more professional for example I changed the colour
saturation to make it look smoother. As shown on the right, the original image below is
nice, but slightly colourless and not as striking as the top, I used the colour tool on
premier pro and ,made the image look slightly more rich by using the using the tint tool. I
feel the edited image looks a lot better than the original image, I edited all the images
throughout by pasting attributes to each frame. My audience also agrees with this as all
the people that took my survey said they thought my advert looks visually good, as you
can see from my survey. I do feel I could have developed my images slightly more, by
this I mean by adjusting the contrast of the images slightly more just slightly, to make
them look more striking.
Next time I would take images of more settings, its only because I had to change my
idea because the weather wouldnt of looked good at all in my animation, I was
supposed to capture my images in Bourmouth but it didnt work because of the weather.
As a result I had to change my idea so I came up
with the idea of two friends messing around and
having a good time. I feel like it would relate to
my target audience as my brief didnt give one
so it was left to me to come up with it, I dont
have a specific target audience because I feel
like my advert is
aimed at
everyone. From my
feedback my peers
said the models
look and are
dressed casually which fits in with the story
