Notes Goal
In what ways was the goal achieved?
In what ways does the goal need to remain in place, or be reformulated, and further pursued?
Focus gallery walk: went really well.
Directions: ST felt chaotic. She was giving out post-its, assignment and nb checks all at the same time. Could try
seated do now to facilitate the juggling.
Timing: got squished at the end. Maybe srap the video today, do a quick brainstorm of prior knowledge of Stock
Market and then exit tix.
Notes Other issues
What else came up during the lesson that was noteworthy? Surprising? Valuable? Troubling?
Quickly discussed the incident at the end with the g barking you in the way and how PM and CM took this as the s
being aggressive while the ST did not.
Recommendations for future practice:
1. Chatter during discussion needs attention. They are capable of paying attention in other settings. Need to
establish norms for having a focused full class discussion.
2. Kids throughout complain about drawing this. Is this the best application for these concepts?
3. Be careful with your word choice when directing ss. if youre talking, youre wrong is a negative approach to
establishing a positive classroom culture. Look for other ways to communicate the need for silence.
Areas of demonstrated improvement and success:
1. good wait time and prompting when you wanted more trends. Abby will be proud.
2. Credit content came across well.
3. Ss got out of their seats and moved around the gallery.
