ACADIMIC HONESTY
I understand that if I cheat, try to cheat, or if I try to help another person to
cheat in this assessment, I could be dismissed from the college.
We are the authors of this assignment, and we have not copied any of it from another
source, (another group or student, an internet source or a book) or another assessment
submitted before.
When we have used another persons words exactly, this is shown in the text with and
referenced and another persons ideas we have shown this in the text and referenced it.
Nobody else apart from our group has written any of this assignment.
We have a copy of this assignment that we can produce if the first copy is lost or damaged.

Introduction And Questions

Introduction: mobile phones has been a major thing in our life,
most of them prefer texting rather than talking on a mobile because
they want to think before they send the text and they dont know it
slows their reaction time.
Topic: Texting slows reaction time more than talking on a mobile.
Main Question: does texting really slows reaction time more than
talking on a mobile??
Question: How does talking on a cell phone influence reaction
time??
The topic interests us because we want to see if texting is really
slows reaction time more than talking on a mobile or not.

Introduction And Questions

The important consequences of this question are:
1- Late reaction time
2- improper reaction

What do most people think about the answer to this question?

Most of them thinks yes, texting does slows the reaction.

Hypothesis

We predict that texting will slows our reaction time more than talking on
a mobile. Texting a guy will slows his reaction towards us while talking
on a mobile the guy will response quickly and in detailed.

Variables: texting or talking on a mobile towards a guy going to be an

independent variable. The response from the guy and his appearance
will be the dependent variable because thats the thing that we are
watching it.

Measurable: we will measure it by using a video, pictures and a timer to

make it clear.

Procedures 1

Step 1: start to text and call two guys.

Step 2: solve it by timer, video, pictures and see when did they
appeared.

Step 3: gathering the results.

Step 4: compare between texting and a phone call.

Step 5: confirming if the hypothesis is true or wrong.

Procedures 2

Step 1: ordering from the restaurant by a phone call & by texting

Step 2: see who arrive first and use a timer to count.

Step 3: gathering the results.

Step 4: compare between texting and a phone call.

Step 5: confirming if the hypothesis is true or wrong.

Experiment(2) p.1
Texting VS Talking

We have done the experiment and it was

interesting, we have learned that texting really
slows reaction time.

Experiment(2) p.2

As you can see here in the pictures the order from chicking restaurant arrived first because i
Was ordered from a phone call and it was efficient.

Results

Experiment
Experiment(1)

Experiment(2)

Result

Time

Both arrived but the one

that we talk to him on
the phone came faster

Texting: 16,24 minutes

Both arrived but the one

who ordered from a
phone call arrived first
and it was efficient.

Texting: 1 hour and 30

min

Talking: 7,34 minutes

Talking: 1 hour and 20

min

Counterargument and Conclusion

Our hypothesis was confirmed.

We have proved that texting slows reaction time more than talking on a
mobile and we used video, timer and pictures to support our evidence.

Texting doesn't just slows the reaction time it also can create
misunderstanding.

Talking on a mobile will influent the reaction time.

Counterargument and Conclusion

If our experiment widely confirmed, the world will change by calling on

the phone more than texting if they were facing a problem.

Our work follow the overall pattern of the scientific method by these
formulas: process, questions, hypothesis, variables, prediction, testing,
analyzing and confirming.

What three criticisms might a skeptic

raise against our experiments?
1. Fake experiment
2. Not related to the Hypothesis
3. Disagreement
