I am pleased to write this letter on behalf of Jamey Flaccavento who has completed her Yearlong Clinical Internship in a kindergarten/inclusion class at the Betty McElmon Elementary School in West Long Branch, NJ as part of her MAT program at Monmouth University. Ms. Flaccavento possesses exceptional qualities for teaching. She is very creative, organized, hardworking, and extremely competent in regard to her students academic progress and performance. As her clinical supervisor, I have had the pleasure of observing Ms. Flaccaventos teaching performance in many settings. I have found one of Ms. Flaccaventos qualities to be her ability to interact with her students in a kind and caring way, thus motivating her students to perform to the best of their abilities. Ms. Flaccavento provided highly creative and motivating lessons for her kindergarten students. She continuously encouraged her students to try their best. She demonstrated evidence of practical and interactive applications of content material. All of her students appeared to be continuously engaged and motivated to learn. Ms.Flaccavento has gained valuable experience working within the kindergarten/ inclusion classroom, and has had the opportunity to provide differentiated instruction to the special education students included in her class. She has collaborated with special education professionals to learn more about students with exceptionalities, focusing on practical strategies that work best to differentiate instruction for all of her diverse learners. This clinical supervisor has found Ms. Flaccavento to be a competent and dedicated professional. It has been my pleasure to work with her and watch her develop into an exceptional teacher. I highly recommend Ms. Flaccavento for any teaching position that she may seek to pursue. In my opinion, she would be a welcome addition to any educational institution.
Sincerely,
Beverly Schweiker Monmouth University Clinical Supervisor
