As employees at Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment we are responsible for abiding
by certain ethical standards that includes proper dress for the work place, abiding by our sexual
harassment policy, and to stay well groomed. Due to the nature of the business with us working
closely with musical acts, sports players and fans, and other production companies, sometimes
the lines as professionals and the friendships gets a little blurry.
A lot of our companies come from our late founder Larry H. Miller. Larry had a lot of
ideologies about how we should act and behave. One the bigger things he preached was integrity.
Specifically, and coming from the pamphlet here in the office titled Who We Are he belieaves
we should honor our word, do the right thing simply because its right, and to be someone others
can count on. Though the conduct that is preached doesnt go into too much detail. It shows how
we as an organization would like to behave in the face of the community.
A lot of the ethical discussion in the building tends to come from the behavior of our
guests. We frequently come into problems with guests drinking alcohol illegally, violence, and
harassment. When these situations arise we must make the best decision for the remaining guests
in the building and for the safety of others.
When those problems arise, managers are responsible for deciding on proper punishment.
This may include calling in the police or simply trespassing the guest from the building for a
certain period of time. These are tough decisions as sometimes the guest is being impolite and
screaming abs entities towards players on the court and ruining the experience for guests
enjoying the game. Not something the guest will feel is wrong, but might offend another guest.
Though our standards are loose and should have more than just a simple 30 second video
asking guests not to swear or harass others, we do what we can to allow all guests to enjoy our

events from beginning to end comfortably. Working on more written rules and standards is on
our future plans this summer as we prepare for the next Jazz season.
Our office is fairly simple, treat others the way you would like to be treated and manage
guests in the same manner. This helps us treat each other accordingly and do whats right for the
customer.
