Find the domain of rational functions, find the horizontal and
vertical asymptotes of rational functions, sketch graphs of
rational functions, use rational functions to model and solve reallife problems.
Hard book, Notebooks
In this class time, students will learn about the domain and range
of the functions
At the beginning of the class, students will have a bell
work which will be on the board to write and solve. For
bell work they will have 5 minutes.
I will be reviewing the bell work with students to make
sure that they have it correctly. (5 minutes)
Power Point that has introduction to functions: I will
show them a power point. While they copy the rules of
the functions and terms I will also make sure that they
pronounce them properly. (15 minutes)
Video about the functions (5 minutes)
I will be using khan academy website for more practice.
(15 minutes)
Students will need to use Chromebook to prepare
presentation about functions. (20 minutes)
Present your presentation to your friend (10 minutes)
Class work: I will give them an easy classwork. It is
going to be for a grade so they need to finish it.

Evaluation

Classwork is in last page.

For the assessment/ evaluation I will

basically use two ways. First one will be
questioning open ended questions and the
power point. Short discussion about
functions
Secondly, I will give them a classwork to do
in class. This classwork will help me to see
the learning.

The game commission introduces 100
deer into newly acquired state game lands.
The population N of the herd is shown with
function f(x)=

20 (5+3 x)
1+ 0.04 x

What is the limiting size of the herd

population as time increases?
