Transition Students will be told to take a

seat on the white line.
Set Induction:
Now that we have learned how to throw
the Frisbee using both our backhand and
forehand with correct COTS we are
going to introduce using these skills
while throwing to a moving partner.
Purpose:
Throwing on the run is important
because it allows you to better your
accuracy as well as throwing somewhere
where your partner will be rather than is
in a stationary drill. The ability to
anticipate is extremely important.
Transition Students will be given 30
seconds to find a partner and sit on the
ground back to back.
Lesson Core - Task 1:
Students will be in pairs spread out in the
basketball court area. It is important that
each group has ample space for this
activity. Each group will take turns
throwing to their partner using either the
backhand or the forehand while the other
partner is on the run. Students have
freedom on how far or how close they
want to run.
Demonstration Plan:
Nathan will assist me in demonstrating
this skill to the students.

the Frisbees back in the equipment bag.
Lesson Core - Task 2:
Students will be in groups of 5 and we
will be doing a relay race. Each team
will start at the same position. The goal
of the game is to get to the finishing point
first. One student will start off by running
5 yards and he will get a pass from the
next in line. Once the partner catches it
or doesnt the next partner will start
running etc etc until the last person gets
to the finish line.
Demonstration Plan:
Nathan, and 3 students will help me
demonstrate this relay to the class.
Questions to Check Understanding
1. How do we throw a Frisbee using
the backhand?
2. What are the COTS of the
forehand pass?
Adaptations
This can be made easier by having the
students run 2-3 yard instead of 5 to
make the pass easier. To make it harder
we can have the students run 7 yards to

Review: Great job today students, I was
very proud of every ones participation
during todays lesson. We worked on our
backhand and forehand throws but this

Can anyone come up and tell the class all
the COTS of the backhand throw? Can
