Classroom Management Plan

1. Courses you would like to teach: Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Statistics

2. Classroom Structure
A. General Floor Plan: I believe that students work best together in groups that promote
cooperative learning. So for my classroom structure I want to have the desks put together
in groups of 3 and 4. This way when going through problems in class they can all work
together.

3. Classroom Expectations

Cell Phones may only be used in an educational setting
Laptops can only be open when given permission by the teacher

B. How will you TEACH one of your routines?


a. For the classroom routine I will go over the basic rules of the class and the first day.
These are rules that should be used in everyday life so it anything new or different to
them. The daily routine will also be explained and the class will not start until the
students are able to quietly enter the class and get out their homework.

C. What will be your pre-correction reminders?


a. I will use body language to try and draw the students attention that is misbehaving.
This way we can go through the class without any disturbances.

D. What will be your correction procedures? (Fully develop this to include all steps including
the point that you would ask them to leave the room and procedures for that)
a. Same as stated above.
b. I will ask the student what they are doing wrong.
c. I will stop the class tell the student that they need to correct their behavior before
they receive punishment.

d. Ask to speak with the person outside of the class and then send them to the office.

E. What will be your record keeping system?


a. I will use whatever computerized system the school uses for grades and attendance.
Along with that I plan on keeping my own personal record in case something
happens to the schools system or if goes down.

F. What will be your follow up procedures?


a. If a student was kicked out of my classroom, I will try to meet up with them within 24
hours of the incident for a one-on-one conversation to discuss their behavior.

4. Description of policies

A. Homework Policy
a. Students should expect to have homework every class period unless otherwise
noted. The homework will be guided by the lesson taught in class.

B. Late-work Policy
a. The students will receive 5% off each day it is late until it reaches 70% and after that
they will receive a 0 for the work.

C. Tardy
a. Students that are tardy will be dealt with the schools tardy policy. Students that
come in late will have to get the notes theyve missed from another student who is
willing to let them copy them down.

D. Clothes & Dress


a. In accordance with the schools specific policy.
E. Candy & Gum
a. In accordance with the schools specific policy.
F. Make up Work
a. If a student misses class for a school related event they are required to have the
work done before or to have it completed when they return. If the student is sick or
gone for non-school related activities they will receive two days for every day gone.
