Introduction: For an introduction, I am going to show a clip from Peppa Pig that discussing what a Pen Pal is,
and then discuss. (10 15 minutes)
Procedures: Provide a sequential (step by step) description of the procedures and activities for the lesson.

NEXT CLASS:
1. Discuss the interest sheet, go around the class and have the students read a ew of their
interests. As well as reading some of our own. (20 Minutes)
2. Pass out sheet with Pen Pals name and address to each student (5 minutes)
3. Review Letter writing and make sure all students have their worksheet from the previous
class. (20 Minutes)
4. Allow students to begin writing their letters, while monitoring the room.
ASSESSMENT EVIDENCE:
Since the letters are being typed a copy will be printed for me to grade based on proper headings, signatures,
and spelling.
Make sure there is a clear link between the Goals and Objectives and the Assessments.
MODIFICATIONS:
Assigning Spanish speaking/ writing pen pals for ELLs
For more advanced students I would let them write longer letters.
For the under achieving students I would give them extra assistance during their writing process.
I would also give the opportunity to put images in the letters to give students and extra technological aspect the
letters
