Please add specific comments about the student teachers observed strengths during this
teaching practicum and identify areas in which you feel further development is
necessary.
Observed Strengths: /

Great job explaining the positive

reinforcements for the class.
Students were provided with clear
instructions to complete their activity.
Your elaborate activity was good and
could have been used as the explore. The
students appear to really enjoy working in
groups identifying the different materials.

Areas in which further development is needed:

Students must be allowed to explore the concept of

the lesson by themselves, either as pairs or groups.
According to your lesson plan, your explore was
simply calling the students to identify an item from
the box.
Provide students with assistance while working in
groups. Use the time to ask students higher order
questions for deeper understanding. You spent the
entire time on the computer preparing for the next
segment of the lesson. Some students fully
understand what needed to be done.
Use more group work time and less whole class
instruction
It wasnt clear as to how the lesson was
differentiate between the different abilities. For
instance, the plan says for higher level students to
do the form using different materials and write
sentence about it
Students must learn to write using the regular
board and not the smart board. Too much time was
being wasted using the smart board. It is difficult to
write using the smart board,
Drawing is even more difficult.
