possibly changing the order of the activities to
make the transitions easier.

Comment [2]: Please list words
Rebecca Wolnek 3/2/2016 12:57 PM
Comment [3]: Make sure to say this in a
positive tone. Something like see what we
can accomplish when we all work together
and avoid if we dont all work together, well
never do this again.

e. Team names on board.

3. Map activity (30 min) ATTACHED.

Comment [4]: I havent seen this class too
much yet, but if you think management might
be an issue with this activity, consider making
it the last activity. That way you wont need to
transition to a calmer activity when its over.
Also it seems like the DO Now should flow
right into the map activity.

CLOSURE
1. Journal entry (graded) Who benefited from the slave trade? How did they
benefit? What effect did the slave trade have on African society?
ACCOMMODATIONS
1. Go around to groups to make sure they have definitions and are prepared to
present.

Rebecca Wolnek 3/2/2016 12:53 PM

Comment [5]: Thats a great text set at your
finger tips. If you do task B, how will you
provide additional scaffolding as to how to
write the article?

ASSESSMENT/EVALUATION
1. Journal.
2. Map.
