Listening (PAGES 80-81) You're so vain Spend a few minutes discussing the questions with the class and establish that a person can be vain because oftheir appearance, their wealth and possessions or their position in society and the people they mix with. 2) and b) NB: You may want students to listen to the song ‘once through without the words, and see if they can note ‘down some ofthe ways the man shows he is vain, before looking at the words. Put students into small groups to listen and then discuss the questions.
