Successfully completed college courses through Brevard County's Dual Enrollment program,
earning a 4.0 GPA at both Eastern Florida State College (EFSC) and Florida Institute of Technology
(FIT). Consistently on President's List and selected for EFSC's Honors Program.
During senior year, attended colleges as full-time student. At high school graduation, will have
completed 46 college credits with a 4.0 college GPA and a 4.4 weighted high school GPA.
Elected to take challenging engineering courses (e.g., Calculus 1 and 2, Chemistry, Statistics) to
prepare herself for the University of Florida's College of Engineering.

STEM Leadership Roles and Activities Highlights


FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) 233: The Pink Team, 2014-2016
As part of Mechanical and Design Team, worked after hours during frenetic six-week robot build to
design, prototype, and build robot ready for competition. Analysis of FIRST challenges and scoring
system to determine primary robotic focus during design phase; used prototyping to determine
durability of robot, as well as competition performance; continuous improvements as evolution.
As Team Leader for FIRST Lego League (FLL) Robotics Mentoring and Tournaments, coordinated
with team sponsors and coaches to provide high school robotics mentors to junior FLL teams to
guide and assist future engineers; coordinated volunteers to tournaments as judges and referees.
As STEM Outreach Coordinator, coordinated with event organizers to showcase The Pink Team
robotics, educate children, and providing robot demonstrations at STEM festivals.
As part of a three-person Competition Pit Crew and Mechanical Team, responsible for repair and
upgrades to Pink Team robot during competition; additionally selected as team representative to
respond to all judge interviews during competition.
As lead mentor for local elementary rookie FLL team #1201, helped guide team to the Florida
State Championship in their first year; helped coach team in robotic programming, game
strategies for field challenges, and project presentation to the judges.
Mu Alpha Theta, Math Honor Society, Viera High School, 2014-2016
Over 100 hours spent tutoring Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus to high school and
middle school students before and after school.
Selected to be on four-member Pre-Calculus team in head-to-head competition against other
county schools. Pre-Calculus competition involved written tests, math bowl, relay number, and
word problems. Earned 3rd place on written test.
Selected to be on four-person Academic/Quiz Bowl Team in county competitions against other
schools.
Space Coast Chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), SWENexter member, 2015-2016
Volunteered at events for elementary and high school age girls to expand the image of women in
the engineering profession and demonstrate the value of diversity.
At WOW, That's Engineering and Girls in Engineering events, taught robotics programming module
for elementary and high school girls.
Jefferson Awards for Community Service Club, 2013-2014
Viera High School club received Brevard County Gold Service Leadership School award in 2014;
recognized for outstanding achievement in public service, specifically the All American Flag Act,
a student campaign to require the U.S. Flags flown on government buildings in Florida to be made
in the USA. Proposed Act was signed into law in Florida and later proposed in 2014 in the U.S.
House of Representatives for national implementation.
