Creating charts, face sheets, records and schedules for patients with medical orders from a
physician in a timely manner. Updating demographic information, insurance information, and
noting accounts as needed for any changes. Deciphering physicians orders and inputting test,
diagnoses and any specific special orders or requests from the physician. Faxing and receiving
orders from physicians offices. Managing the telephones, taking important urgent messages
from physicians and making sure they are given to the appropriate persons within moments of the
call. Retrieve emergency patients from emergency squads and making sure all information about
patient was updated, verified and exact. Extreme communication between (mainly) Radiology,
Laboratory, Cardiology, Emergency Room, and Physicians. Centralizing, decentralizing,
imaging, scanning, indexing, and verifying all orders. Making sure all patients feel as

Receptionist for Practice
Using Dentrix Dental System to schedule all patients under appropriate dentist, verifying and
monitoring seven different schedules for all dentists in practice, taking payments at time of
patient dismissal and adjusting payments after reviewing insurance claims. Setting up payment
options, explaining all treatment plans, answering office phones, answering patients questions
over the phone and at time of dismissal in a correct and timely manner. Recruiting new patients,
calling insurance companies to obtain frequencies and benefits, entering demographic and
insurance information. Managing dentist schedules throughout the day, including cancellations,
add-on patients and emergency patients. Filing all charts and records for all seven dentists in
practice, retrieving charts at the end of the day for preparation of next day patients for all dentists.
Taking all messages for dentist throughout the day and making sure they receive them promptly
and assisting with dental hygiene when my front desk duties were handled, in order to benefit my
current dental hygiene education.

Resident Assistant
Under the supervision of nursing staff, I perform simple personal care activities including
bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, skin care/nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, and
others as directed/requested. Performs meal preparation, laundry, changing bed linens, light
housekeeping and other services. Initiates and participates in leisure activities provided for
residents. Encourages residents to socialize and participate in planned activities or programs and
to develop friendships with other residents, promote social environments and interaction and
intellectual stimulation. Observes and documents the health and emotional conditions of each
resident, promptly reporting all changes to the nurse. Responds promptly and courteously to
resident's requests for assistance and emergency pendant alerts. Promotes personal safety and a
safe environment for residents by observing infection control practices, following facility
guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the nurse. Assist residents in preparing and
transporting for appointments and social programs. Assist with moving and transporting residents
into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc. Assist residents to walk with or
without self-help devices as instructed. Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her
personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes. Provide special resident
services offered by the facility. Attend and participate in in-services as required by federal, state
and company requirements. Maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a
professional image. Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties.
