The world is dying.

For years now, humanity has been making great

efforts to save the world, but plunged the world further into extreme madness,
darkness, and eventually inevitable death. International warfare has engulfed the
globe like a wildfire; any country that isnt involved in international warfare is in
the middle of civil war, civilian uprisings, or attempted government overthrows.
Amidst all the warfare and hostility, disease has plagued the globe due to lack of
adequate food and supply of water because of an extensive over-breeding and
exponentially increasing growth rate of many insects, primarily mosquitos, and
also the death of ninety percent of all bees worldwide. Those who are not sick
are starving, dehydrated, or both.
Five years ago an ancient strain of the flu was discovered that had never
been encountered before. It was discovered in the valleys of Nepal shortly after
the Nepal earthquake in early 2015. For a while the United Nations and the CDC
kept the strain contained within the valley, but roughly six to seven months after
the first death, the virus had broken free of the CDC containment block and
began spreading exponentially across the world. In three months of the virus first
being discovered, the death toll in the Nepal Valleys had reached 10,000, wiping
out roughly all of the Indian tribes and local towns that resided in the valley. They
named the virus X-10 for the 10,000 lives it claimed within three months, setting
a CDC record. Many people nicknamed X-10 Lucifers Flu because of the
symptoms that you experience. There is no way to tell if you have the virus for
five days after you initially become infected, but after those five days precisely,
you begin experiencing severe symptoms. First are sore, painful, red blisters that
cover your body. Next, you begin to experience your body heating up to an
extremely high temperature that doesnt break easily. After two or three days of
the blisters and fever, you begin to feel nauseous and you begin vomiting
extensively causing dehydration that will lead to be the cause of death.
My father, Lt. Joshua Jones, a First Lieutenant of the United States Air
Force, was one of the last men to go into the quarantine zone. My father was an
Air Force Rescue Operations Specialist providing food and water relief to those
suffering inside that were infected, but suffered a tear in his quarantine suit
halfway through a mission and unfortunately he never made it back home. My
father died from the virus shortly after being exposed.
