Kansas -- Coke Can Silo

The last giant object that doesnt
need to be giant is the Coke Can Silo.
The Coke Can Silo stands rising from
the flat lands of Kansas. I have an
interest in this giant coke can
because as you know from reading
my powerpoint so far, I love giant
sculptures that are kind of
meaningless.

Kansas -- Atomic Cannon

This cannon sits Junction City, and is
one of the last three still standing. It
was developed in the early 1950s and
is completely capable of firing a
nuclear device. I have an interest in
this place because war and machines
that go into war fascinate me.

Hawaii -- Pearl Harbor

Pearl Harbor is a lagoon base on the
island of Oahu in Hawaii. The attack
here made by the Empire of Japan
was what led the United States to join
during World War II. I have an interest
in this place because I find World War
II fascinating in general, and it has a
lot to do with Americas involvement
in it.

Hawaii -- Kuhio Beach Torch Lighting

and Hula ShowRecurring every week is the Kuhio
Hula Show. It is located on Waikiki
Beach and is performed by Halau
Hula (dance troups) and other
Hawaiian performers. I have an
interest in this because I have
never actually seen a Hula show
in action but would like to.

Alaska -- Alaska Northern Lights Tour

Located in Fairbanks Alaska, the
Northern Lights tour is something
like no other. In this tour people can
see the Northern Lights in all their
beauty and glory. I have an interest
in this because not many people
get to see Northern Lights, and
theyre exceptionally beautiful.

Alaska -- Valdez Museum and

Historical Archive
The Valdez museum has hundreds of
artifacts and art from Alaska on
display. The items here are brought
by individuals and volunteers who
really want the museum to continue
doing well. I have an interest in this
place because I believe it will really
give me an understanding of Alaska
and its history.
