NATURE OF WORK

Good at communicating with people

Strong math skills

Pay close attention to detail

Patience is very important because they are constantly multitasking and cannot get
overwhelmed

EDUCATION AND TRAINING NEEDED

High School Diploma, or GED

Get a Bachelors Degree in a science field

Pass the Pharmacy College Admission Test ( PCAT )

Obtain a Pharm D. Degree

Pass the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination ( NAPLEX )

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS HELPFUL

Perform extremely well in science starting in high school

Complete a pharmacy internship to get an upper hand on others applying

Work in retail to get a feel for the job

Not having a criminal background

Job Outlook is increasing with a 14 % average

Pharmacy schools are increasing, making the job more competitive

Employment will grow from 286,400 to 327,800 by 2022

As more people will be able to get insurance, due to the Affordable Care Act more people
will be able to buy medicine which will increase the need for pharmacists

Complete a 3 or 4 year apprenticeship

During that time 2000 hours of on the job training must be acquired each year

They must complete a 10 hour and 30 hour safety course as well

Excelling in shop, math, and drawing are considered useful

Have a license for and know how to operate heavy machinery

Having any prior jobs in construction

Take different safety courses

PROSPECTS

Currently there are slightly over 900,000 carpenters nationwide

Employment is expected to grow by 24% by 2022

With the rising population more houses will be needed

The amount of carpenters need is based off of the economy and how in demand
construction workers are needed. If Construction work is high there will also be a large
demand for carpenters.

Pay should rise due to the major increase in populaion

Drywall Installer They install ceiling tiles and put in dry wall

Industrial Machinery Mechanics They repair factory equipment and machinery
