Piaget theory
(piaget believed that children discover and create their knowledge
about their own world by their action. This theory is described as a
productive method to mental development) (Berk, L. 2006. Page 220).

The four stages

(Piaget was a psychologist who was interested in cognitive
development, after he observed many children he discover the process
of child development through four stages. Those four stages are as the
following:
The first stage is sensorimotor which from birth to two years, during
this time piaget said that the cognitive system of child is limited to
motor reflex at birth than its builds on those reflect to develop more.
They learn to generalize their activities to a wider range of situations
and coordinate them into increasingly lengthy chains of behavior.
The second stage is Preoperational Thought (2 to 6/7 years) as piaget
said children acquire representational skills in the areas mental
imagery, and especially language and view the world from their own
perspective.
The third stage is Concrete Operations (11/12 to adult) is opposed to
Preoperational children because child will be able to take another's
point of view and take into account more than one perspective
simultaneously. They can also represent transformations as well as
static situations. But they wont be able to consider all of the logically
possible outcomes.
The four stage Formal Operations, in this stage children will be able to
thinking logically and abstractly. Also they can reason theoretically and
thinking was as powerful). (Alberta, 2004).

Schema
According to this theory, schema represent knowledge about concept:
objects and the relationships they have with other objects, situation,
event, sequence of events, actions and sequins of actions. (n.n , n.d)

First, I prepared my equipment, which was camera, 3 pieces of sweet,
then I did one experiments on two children, one with child her age 5
years old and other with child 10years old:
The child 5 years old her name Sara, first I take 3 pieces of sweets. I
take 2 pieces and I kipped in front of me and one pieces I kept in front
of her then I ask her if we did share fairly she answered no. I asked
how does this not come fair she said that you have 2 pieces and I have
one only, so I take her sweet and cut it in two half then I returned and
ask her if we did share fairly her answer was yes.
I did the same thing with faisal. First, I take 3 pieces of sweets. I take 2
pieces and I kipped in front of me and one pieces I kept in front of him
then I ask him if we did share fairly he answered no. I asked how does
this not come fair he said that you have 2 pieces and I have one only,
so I take his sweet and cut it in two half then I returned and ask him if
we did share fairly his answer was no. I ask him way its not fair he said
that I cut it in to two-piece which it has become two small pieces.

Analysis
After my experiment, I can say that there is different between the child
who was in pre-operation (sara, 5 yeas old) and concrete operation
(faisal, 10 years old).

From my observation with sara who is in the Preoperative stage which
is the second of four stages of cognitive development. She was able to
differentiate first time when I take 2 pieces and give her one pieces but
she was not able to differentiate at the second time between the size
pieces when I divided I pieces to two pieces.
The concrete operational stage is characterized by the development
of logical thought. While kids at this age become more logical about
concrete and specific things, they still struggle with abstract ideas.
(Cherry, 2016). However, Faisal who is in operational stage was able to
differentiate in both time and logically thinking about number of
sweets and the size of sweets unlike sare only can differentiate
between number but not able to differentiate between size of sweets.
As conclusion, I personally agree with piaget theory of the
preoperational stage of cognitive development its important for the
teacher of young child because if she aware of this development she
know who to teach and which skill or strategy to use to reach the child
mentality and let them to understand by easy way .
