Students will gain a better understanding of the role cardio plays in a game time situation.
Special Planning/Preparations (i.e. safety concerns, etc.): make sure to stretch out properly, be aware of foot placement as well as
surroundings
Procedures

Time

Intro-Activity: Students will begin by jogging a lap


around the gym. They will then follow up with
calisthenic stretching.

5 Min

Warm-up: Once the participants are warmed up, they


will partner up and do a mirror drill, where one will go
side to side and the other must mirror the other.

Diverse Needs

Rules: Students will take turns with their partners


10 Min
running with them as they run different routes. Each
partner will take three turns defending the other as they
run the routes. As they progress, they will practice with
a ball being thrown to the receiver.

Football

Activity: The students will put what they have learned


into action by participating in game of touch football.

20 Min

Football

Ending Activity/Cool-down: Students will circle up


and begin static stretching to cool down.

5 Min

Closure: As the students finish their stretching, the


class will be open for any remaining questions or
comments.
