Obama Article
4th Period

This article is on how the author, Troubadour, views our current

United States President Barack H. Obama as the best President that
our country has ever had. This article brings up many points that are
very liberally biased, as can be seen with the author even discrediting
one of the true greats of this country, such as former President
Abraham Lincoln. He even goes on to say that almost every President
before Barack Obama was sludge. In the third paragraph, when he
starts truly making biased points, he says how Democratic Presidents
are great under certain climates and can cause true growths in the
country. He also talks about the huge opposition against Obama,
which is not biased, but true. However in the final sentence of the
third paragraph, he makes a false point, by saying that China and
Saudi Arabia control American politics through Republicans. This
cannot be proved, and in fact, is more likely to happen with Democrats,
who are more tied to colonialist ideals, or ideals that mean that we
should have more foreign dependencies. In the third paragraph, he
speaks of the Republicans having near full-control of the media. This is
also a false point, because the Republicans have only one main cable

channel that fully supports them; FOX, while Democrats control

MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, and CNN. Also, in the last sentence of the
third paragraph, he says the Lincoln had an easier time than Obama,
which obviously isnt true, because Lincoln had to deal with a Civil War.
In the fifth paragraph, he was mostly correct, but in saying nobody
liked the Confederacy, he was wrong. Many did like the Confederacy,
like the farmers. In the sixth paragraph, he says that nobody wanted
to help the Confederates in the Civil War, which is wrong, because it is
well known the French did help the Confederates in the Civil War.
However, in the rest of the sixth paragraph, the author does make
valid points that do make sense with the actual course of history. As
for the seventh paragraph, he is on the dot with almost everything in
saying that corporations control near everything, such as our homes,
our cars, our roads, our public spaces, and our police forces. However
he highly overdramatizes this issue by saying that it is an Uber Civil
War and he also implies that Obama is against the corporations. This
is the most biased point in the entire article, besides the fact of saying
Obama is the best President ever. Democrats politically support the
government fully controlling the corporations, which could be seen in
the bailout of General Motors, which Obama had full hand in. While
Republicans also support the corporations, but they would not support
bailing out a major company, because of the idea of Capitalism, which
basically is the idea of an economic survival of the fittest. Than, he

has his 10 points, most of which I can disprove; Most Liberal: FDR; Most
Accountable: Richard Nixon; Most Transparent: George Washington;
Most Equal: Barack Obama; Most Scientific: John Q. Adams; Most
Intelligent: Thomas Jefferson; Hardest-Working: Abraham Lincoln; Most
Respected: FDR; Most Politically Courageous: George Washington; Most
Honest: Abraham Lincoln. All in all, this article is biased and can be
easily disproved with simple historical information and a mediocre
amount of political knowledge.
