7. This assessment tool is appropriate for all grade levels and all subjects from
Kindergarten to College level and beyond.
8. Kahoot! Is an assessment tool that allows the teacher to create quizzes,
surveys, and discussions in fun learning games (Kahoots). These games are created
from multiple choice questions and answers created by the teacher. Videos, images, and
diagrams can be added to the questions to help engage the students. Kahoot is most
productive when it is used in a group setting such as a classroom. Students use their
own devices to answer, while the questions are shared on a screen up front. This
creates a campfire moment and encourages students to look up.
a. Teacher creates a free log in and then may create games or use
the games that are ready to play or adapt.
b. The teacher displays the game on a whiteboard and gives the
students the pin number.
c. Students go to Kahoot.it and enter the game pin that is given to
them by the teacher..
d. Students then play the game.
e. The teacher can then look at scores and download them.
f. Students can play again or exit.
9. Teachers will find that this assessment tool would be helpful in deepening student
understanding, promoting discussion and pedagogical impact from within the classroom
or across the globe. Teachers can have students develop their own kahoots to deepen
understanding, mastery, and purpose. It can make learning fun in any subject and on
any device. Students can take them as a group on one shared device, or individually on
their own device. It can be used to awaken inquisitive natures, build collaboration, foster
independence, develop problem-solving skills, immediately apply and reinforce fresh
knowledge. Kahoot! Can be used to enhance cultural awareness by collaborating with
others around the globe. It can help reinforce learning through repetition as students
play the games over to try to improve their scores. The teacher can also link it to
messages sent to students and allow them to complete as homework or extra practice at
home. It can also help teachers spot gaps in learners knowledge, as well as prompting

students to recognize and fill in the gaps in their own learning. It can also help build the
confidence and social skills of students that struggle otherwise.
