Scholars and psychologists unanimously agree no specific definition of the term terrorism exists.
This is attributed to lack of objectives, feasibility and clarity of success that majority of countries
use as techniques to fight terror. Noam Chomsky in his study (2006) however clearly depicts
United States of America commitment in the fight against terrorism. The commitment of the U.S
begun as the fight against the al-Qaida attack perpetrated on 11th September in 2001. The U.S.A
in extending their fight against the menace covers more nations like African countries, Colombia
and Philippines (Chomsky 3). This essay addresses Terrorism and the U.S. War on Terror.
As researched, it is evident the United States of America provides a variety of non-combat and
combat mission for purposes of fighting terror. It has a military personnel that is trained, well
constructed civil affairs as well as counterinsurgency tactics that are proven to counteract
terrorism incidences. Statistical estimate on number of United States of America military forces
currently involved in operations in areas that are prone to terror is 18,000. Their commitment is
demobilization, disbarment and reintegration of potential militia groups. The congress today still
debates on various issues related to terror attack as well as the possible solutions that need to be
considered (Barker 6).

Barker (2003) postulates that as a result of the commitment the U.S has made towards terrorism,
there has been a decrease in incidences of terror attacks as such, Boeing success. Their efforts, in
Afghanistan alone have led to paralysis of warlord operations by curbing, fledging and killing
their operations. The current strategies they use now are discrete and compact via a wide range
of positive consultations, polices as well as laws aimed at ensuring they fulfill their dream of a
world that is terrorism free (Barker 7).
To conclude, after a systematic analysis of this topic, it is easy to comprehend the fact the U.S.A
is committed fully towards jeopardizing global terrorism as well as its spread to achieve
sustained global development.
