INTRODUCTION

Radio is still one of the most intimate forms of media, if not the most intimate.
Much of that connection is lost in an on-demand world. There's something special about
listening to a news broadcast or music at the same time as thousands of other people.
Local programming is valuable, not just for the news but for building communities and
we just don't think it would work without conventional radio.
FM radio broadcast is one of the main types of radio broadcasting. FM usually
denotes frequency modulation. This frequency modulation usually takes place on VHF
airwaves in a frequency range of 88 to 108 around the world except Japan and Russia.
In this case study we designed a conventional FM station, Apollo FM Station, is a
music, news or talk radio station serving mainly in Baguio City, Benguet with a power of
5 kW. The stations studio, as well as the transmitter, will be assembled in the CAP
building, Baguio City with polar coordinates 1624'40"N and 12035'59"E

Apollo FM station will operate 20 hours a day, from 4 oclock in the morning until
midnight, 7 days a week. For this case study, a frequency of 97.9 MHz is used. A
channel at the middle part of very high frequency band is selected because it is
commercially available and it is more convenient for the listeners to tune their radios.
This FM radio station will go a long way in reaching out to the community of
Baguio City with program content that shall be of interest to the audience.
