Final Assessment Task: 10 minute presentation

The Task
You are to develop a 10 minute presentation on one of the following scenarios:

A student is pressured to join a group whose racist views encourage vandalism


and derogatory graffiti.
A young married career woman finds that she is pregnant. The pregnancy will
interfere with her plan for advancement over the next few years.
A student finds out that his or her best friend is selling drugs.
A teenage couple still at school finds that they are having a baby.
A Year 10 girl is tempted to get the pill when she starts a relationship with a new
boyfriend.

In your presentation, you should address:

The scenario (this may require you to further develop your scenario from the
original prompt)
o What is happening?
o Who is involved?
o Where is this happening?
o Why is this happening?

The various outcomes or consequences that could result from the scenario and
the various motivations/stages of moral maturity that would elicit these outcomes

Various sins or virtues which could be involved in the scenario or result from the
decision-making process

Any factors which may limit or increase the ability of those involved to make a
responsible decision (eg. their degree of freedom, knowledge or intention)

The steps that those involved should take in making a decision on this matter and
