TALKS ABOUT A STRONG CONFIDENT WOMEN MAYBE DEMI LOVATO'S CONFIDENT SONG. VIDEO

HOW IT HAS CHANGED OVER TIME.

How bodies have

changed over
eras
Marilyn
Monroe, 50s
era. Fuller
hips, no
surgery, big
breasts.

Cindy
Crawford,
90s. Still a
little bit full
but slender

Effects of
wanting the
perfect body

Candice
Swanepoel,
2000s. Very
slim, thigh
gap, bones
very defined.

A lot of people develop

eating disorders. Included in
these disorders Is anorexia.
Media has run many
campaigns that discourage
anorexia to try and prevent
people from going to
extremes in order to achieve
the ideal body.

Effects of
wanting the
perfect body

Effects on people
with the
perfect body

The pressure that people feel

from society causes low self
esteem. Growing up with low
self esteem can further
develop into mental disorders
and eating disorders like
depression and anxiety to
name a few. Very often people
don't feel good enough or
pretty enough. They are not
comfortable with their own
bodies

They too are
criticized for having
this body type and
often are accused of
having eating
disorders.

Introducing plussize campaign and

advocacy
The image above is part of a
Special K commercial that talks
about women always finding
something wrong with their body.
About 20 seconds of the
commercial will be added
explaining how women should
change their perspective and find
the beauty they're born with.
The image above
represents the opposing
point of view because
while it flatters "real
beauty" it is still pinning
women against each
other saying models'
body aren't natural or
beautiful.

The image above tries to

showcase all body
types/skin. Media is
becoming more aware that
women struggle to try to
keep up with the "perfect
body" and is now starting
to add more body types.
Society can now see a
wider variety of body
types.

For a better lifestyle

Example of what is
the recommended
way to eat a meal.

BE PROUD!!
Everyone is diff but
that does not make
you less because
you are not what
other think you
should be.

Workout, eat right,

and drink plenty of
water!! Not to have
the perfect body but
to keep healthy.
