HOLES

Summary

Stanley Yelnats seems to always be in the wrong

place at the wrong time. Sent to a boys juvenile
camp after being wrongly accused of stealing
shoes, Stanley must adjust to living with delinquents
and working under the hot summer sun at Camp
Green Lake. Forced by the Warden to dig a hole
everyday in order to build character, Stanley
cant help but wonder if hes suppose to be looking
for something. When Stanley finds an old lipstick
tube in a hole, memories of his no-good-dirtyrotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather flood
his mind. 100 years before Stanley came to Camp
Green Lake Kissin Kate Barlow, the most brutal
outlaw in the west at the time, robbed Stanleys
great-great-grandfather and left him to die in the
Texas desert. Stanleys family history and present
suspicions lead him and his friend Zero on an
adventure to figure out what exactly they are
digging for.
