Education Systems and Their Culture
It is said that the most common way to succeed is by getting
educated and going to school. Education is key to success! So we set
ourselves to this mindset that education is the go to. Which is not a
bad idea at all, only the measures and risk one can take can
sometimes be a problem. For example, in China, due to its culture, it is
crucial to go to school and become successful. As for America, it is a
law to attend school, but by the age of 16 the student is allowed to
drop out. The intensity of the implementation of education on a kid is
different in China and America because of their different culture and
perspective towards success.
Due to Chinas population there was a one-child-policy
implemented. This has then caused great competition in attending
schools in China. Because of this competition, the kids in china feel
very pressured with education. Which has placed enormous
amounts of pressure on their students to succeed(Chow, pg. 1). Also,
education is highly emphasized on a kid in china because the parents

or gaurdians of the kids depend on his or her future. Families, over
time, will accumulate debt that they hope their child will be able to
work off when they earn a successful job in the future(Chow, 1).
Now in America, education is very important and highly
recommended. It is a law to go to school or parents/guardians may
pay consequences. Though, by the age of sixteen the child is allowed
to drop out. Which in America it is very common to drop out.
Education is always emphasized, but it is not as rigorous as the style of
China. There is definitely great competition in the whole United States,
but the competition is not lead to much pressure.
