Students will sequence the parts of There was an Old Lady who
swallowed a Rose with their picture cards with 100% accuracy
Students will retell the story at the end of the week using their picture
cards with 4/7 cards in the correct order.
Students will engage in the sequencing activity while the book is being
read out loud 5/5 days with minimal interruptions.

I am going to read this book and when the old lady swallows each thing
you will put the events in order with your picture cards.

I will have my own picture cards that I sequence on the first day while
reading the book.

I will be making sure that each student has the correct picture cards in
order at each step in the book.

Some students will retell the story out loud as well as take the multiple-choice test on the
sequence.
Students who are non-verbal will sequence the events without retelling the story out loud.
Students will be using this book as inspiration for their Valentines day projects. I will have
all the same ingredients the Old Lady had and they will create a gift for their parents.
