Program Coordinator- Leadership and Innovation

Seattle University (SU), Office of the Vice President of Student Development
Served on the committee for the Inaugural Leadership Training Implementation Team alongside six other
offices, with the responsibility of creating the conference schedule, internal and external outreach, leading team
meetings, and establishing the vision for the revamped training for over 300 student attendees.
Recruited, hired, trained, and supervised undergraduate student staff members in the management of the
Innovation Center programming and resources.
Planned and implemented a meaningful transition process for 40 incoming first-year students in the First Year
Leadership Institute through teambuilding, personal assessment, and social programming.
Trained and supervised a team of peer facilitators through leadership-based workshop facilitation.
Assisted in the development and execution of universitys annual student leader awards celebration with an
attendance of over 250 students and staff members.
Led Think Tanks to better understand students transition to SU based on transition from application to
orientation for first time in college students, commuter students, and transfer students.
Managed the student commencement speaker selection process through creating a student and faculty
selection committee, cross campus advertising, and a speaker audition process.
Constructed a comprehensive application through Canvas for positional leadership roles on campus.
Assembled a team and created a Canvas module for divisional professional development about Universal
Design and how to make events/spaces more accessible for students with disabilities.
Created an online leadership resource site that includes student articles and take away resources.
Intern- International Student Center (ISC)

Coordinated and revamped International Week, an ACPA 2013 Outstanding International Education Award
winning program, which included 20 events with 15 to 400 students in attendance ranging in topic from
international student experience, the cultural history of Seattle, and education abroad programs.
Organized and led focus groups about international student transition to SU and campus climate.
Advised students with program development including logistics, marketing, and event setup.
Assisted with winter orientation for undergraduate, graduate, and transfer international students.
Intern- Student Programs
2015
Bellevue College
Revamped and implemented a month long positional student leadership training with over 30 participants, 15
different sessions, and five contributing outside organizations.
Developed a syllabus, curriculum, and final assessment for the Leadership Institute and led workshops, both in
person and through Canvas, on Strengths Finder, self-care, time management, meaning making, marketing,
and strategic planning.
Organized sessions from outside offices on topics ranging from mandatory reporting, micro-aggressions,
inclusive workspaces, universal design, and tour training.

Served on the logistics team for the annual Camp Casey Leadership Camp, with over 150 students.
Lead Camp Casey mentor training and pre-departure camp trainings to over 200 students.
Planned and executed the end of the year student recognition celebration with attendance of 100 students,
which included awards, catering, and interactive components.

UNDERGRADUATE INVOLVEMENT
Chair- Programming Activities Council (PAC)

Recruited, hired, and trained five student leaders, and managed over 150 student volunteers.
Prioritized organizational needs through innovative planning and oversight of $201,000 programing budget.
Re-created the Chair position, increased budget and payroll, and tripled the retention of the student staff.
Sheppard the budget request process for PAC and the concert series through the biennial budget process.
Organized and managed over 100 events in an academic year with up to 6,000 students and community
members in attendance: Ex. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis Concert, Ronnie Dunn Concert. 3OH!3 Concert,
Spring/Fall Welcome Week, Stress Relief Week, Mav Stampede Week, LOL Tuesdays, and Homecoming.
Student Ambassador Scholarship- Admissions
2010 - 2014
Colorado Mesa University
Created a welcoming and informational environment for prospective students and parents through campus
tours, Mesa Experience visitation programs, and prior outreach via cold calling, blogging, and social media.
Served as the executive officer of the Leadership Development Committee which included planning winter and
fall retreats, monthly social activities for the 30 ambassadors in the program, along with the implementation of
the District 51 Multicultural Leadership Conference with over 250 high school students.
Orientation Leader- New Student Programs

Lead a presentation to over 2,000 students on academic success, diversity training, and health promotion.
Assisted students throughout the process of scheduling their classes and answer any questions that both the
students and parents have about CMU.
COMMITTEE INVOLVEMENT
SUSDA Executive Team, Chair- Seattle University Student Development Association
2015- Present
Serve as the chief liaison for the Student Development Masters program by participating in faculty meetings,
designing an annual program retreat, and overseeing the 7 other members of the executive team.
Organize an Intergroup Dialogue program to provide an environment to discuss issues of social justice and
identity development based on various salient identities.
SUSDA Executive Team, First Year Liaison- Seattle University Student Development Association 2014-2015
Represented the First Year cohort within the SUSDA executive team, planned quarterly community events,
check-in and committee meetings, and advocated for the collective student need through creating a curriculum
assessment.
