dear mother.
I am very happy on my honeymoon here in Paris. There is a new invention called the cinema in
which you are able to see people on an enormous screen.
It is beautiful. It is almost real except everything is black and white. The movie theater is a big
room and all the lights are off. There is a pianist playing music while you watch the movie. People
say that one day we will be able to watch movies with sound. Can you imagine that? And to think
that some years ago we were not able to capture images in photographs.
We went to see "The trip to the moon". A group of six brave astronomers decide to travel to the
Moon. They build a space capsule in the shape of a bullet and a enormous cannon to shoot in to
space.
Do you think this will be possible someday? In my opinion, man won not be able to travel to the
Moon. Just imagine. the boat from Lima took thirty - seven days to get to Europe. How long will it
take to get to the Moon? I think it will definitely take more than fourteen minutes (that is how
long the movie lasted!). The Wright brothers are trying to build an aircraft, but will man ever be
able to build flying machines? Maybe they will fly very low and very short distances.
We will take the boat black next week and I will see you in about six weeks.

Estimada madre.
Soy muy feliz en mi luna de miel aqu en Pars. Hay una nueva invencin
llamado el cine en el que usted puede ver a las personas sobre una pantalla
enorme.
Es hermoso. Es casi legtimo excepto todo es negro y blanco. El cine es una
habitacin grande y todas las luces se van. Hay un pianista que toca la msica
mientras usted mira la pelcula. Las personas dicen que un da podremos mirar
pelculas con el sonido. Usted puede imaginar eso? Y para pensar que hace
unos aos no estbamos capaces captar ideas en fotografas.
Nosotros hemos visto "El viaje para la luna". Un grupo de seis astrnomos
valientes decide viajar a la luna. Desarrollan una cpsula de espacio en la
forma de una bala y un can enorme en el que disparar al espacio
Usted piensa que esto ser posible algn da? En mi opinin, hombre ganado
no puede viajar a la luna. Slo imagine. El bote de Lima tom treinta - siete
das para llegar a Europa. Cunto tiempo tomar llegar a la luna? Pienso que
tomar ms de catorce minutos definitivamente (se es cunto tiempo dur la
pelcula el!). Los hermanos de artfice estn tratando de desarrollar una
aeronave, pero hombre alguna vez podr desarrollar mquinas voladoras? Tal
vez volarn las muy muy distancias bajas y breves.
Tomaremos el bote negra la prxima semana y lo ver en aproximadamente
seis semanas.
