This chapter discusses language analysis in four ways: grammatical form, meaning of words, grammatical meaning, and communicative function. Grammatical form has three components: grammatical tables, terminology, and substitution tables. Analyzing meaning of words involves understanding context and word relations. Techniques to help students comprehend meaning include teaching antonyms, synonyms, prefixes/suffixes, and homonyms. Analyzing grammatical meaning ensures students understand tense usage. Communicative function considers how language is used to express intentions. The conclusion acknowledges the challenge of simplifying language for students but maintaining that experience improves such skills over time.

This chapter talks about language analysis in four specific ways Grammatical form,
meaning of words, the grammatical meaning, and the communicative function.
Grammatical form has 3 important components: Grammatical table, grammatical terminology and substitution tables When we talk about grammatical terms, such as: subject + be simple past + present participle go + to + infinitive, this means all the components of a sentence from beginning to the end. On the other hand, we also have substitution tables, which are charts that help students to understand better and help them make a larger number of grammatically correct sentences. Also we have grammatical tables, we also have grammatical tables that are complements of substitution tables and analysis of grammatical form When we talk about MEANING OF WORDS, it means that you have to help students understand the words in a sentence, but also taking into account the context in which the word is found. As well, as the relations that the words have between them. Some techniques that I can use to help students are teaching the basic of: Antonyms Synonyms Superordinate/ hyponyms Prefixes/suffixes Homonyms In my opinion, these techniques are very useful because the teacher help the learners to discovery the meaning by themselves, but give them tools for self When we talk about grammatical meaning, you can tell if students are clear about the meaning. Even though, you can hear students just say yes because theyre afraid being asked more questions. Another important reason is to become clear and try to convince your students that for example, a present tense can only be used in that tense and no more. Finally, when we say that we have to analyze the communicative function, it must take into account the way it is said, he communicative purpose we have for speaking, the reason why we say or write something; and the language we use to express what we want to say. In conclusion, I can say that I agree that we have to avoid complex grammar, using words that students might not understand and also use short sentences. However, I am convinced that doing that is not easy at all, because you need to have experience. I am sure that I will do it with time.
