It is with great honor and respect that I write this letter of recommendation for my colleague, Mrs.
Christina Duhoski, for professional employment. I have had the extreme pleasure of working closely
over the last 6 years at JKL Bahweting School PSA, where she has severed well as Classroom Teacher
and K-2 Lead Teacher.
I have had the opportunity to observe first-hand Chrissys excellent professional and interpersonal skills
as demonstrated when facilitating the learning of children of all ability levels in her second grade
classroom. She is superb in developing quality relationships with students and providing appropriate
instruction and support in order for her students to excel. She is gifted at setting and communicating high
expectations and teaming with students to achieve these goals. Designing and implementing quality
whole-group, small group and individual learning experiences when implementing Everyday Math,
Writers Workshop, leveled reading groups/the Daily Five for literacy, and the implementation of the
NGSS Science Standards is strength for Chrissy. Through the analysis of data and modifying instruction
to meet student needs, high student achievement has been the hallmark of the learning environment that
Chrissy designs for all her students.
Mrs. Duhoski demonstrates her active participation in supporting positive student behavior as she carries
out Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) lessons, gives PBIS tickets, and with calls home
to reinforce positive student behaviors.
Chrissy becomes an integral part of the instructional teams such as the second grade teaching team and
the FAME (Formative Assessment for Michigan Educators) through her solid communication and
interpersonal skills with her colleagues. She takes great care to complete tasks and comply with policies
that build effective instructional teams.
It is without a doubt that Chrissy would be a great asset in the educational setting. She holds many
wonderful qualities including her dedication, positive attitude and work ethic, which make a highly
effective teacher and valuable team member.
