Summary:
On the morning of May 12, 2010 Officers and Paramedics responded to a report
of a motorcycle accident on Garden Valley near Dogwood. Michael Earl
Adams, 19, was found in the roadway and determined to be deceased.

Officers contacted several witnesses and learned that Adams and two other men
were riding their motorcycles westbound on Garden Valley at a high rate of
speed when Adams lost control of his motorcycle and struck a curb which led to
the crash.

The other two riders were interviewed and released. An accident reconstruction
investigator responded and processed the scene. The west bound lanes of
Garden Valley were blocked until about 4:00 AM.

The case is still under investigation and no additional details are available at this
time.

Assisting agencies include the Roseburg Fire Department, Douglas County

Sheriff’s Office, Fire District #2 and the VA Police.
