Dear Jayne Parker:
I am writing to be considered for a marketing position at Walt Disney World. I have
had experience in marketing through my courses at California State University
Northridge, and would like to obtain experience in this field. I have been aligned with a
marketing role, and am capable of using my skills as a marketing major at my current job
at Big 5 Sporting Goods, Granada Hills. I market different merchandise to customers
based on their needs and fitness goals, which has given me practical experience of how
marketing can directly affect the consumer. The expertise that I have developed in
understanding my customers and adjusting to their needs would apply to a marketing
position at Walt Disney Company.
I would like to be more involved within my major and apply the skills that I have learned
through my education and work by obtaining an entry level marketing position and
continuing to progress in my knowledge of the field. I would be an asset to the company
as a fast and eager learner, with prior experience and knowledge of the subject. My skill
of marketing equipment to customers can prove useful to market Disney merchandise to
consumers.
