Key:

Standard 3.1
Standard 3.2
Standard 3.3
Standard 3.4
Standard 3.5
Standard 3.6
Standard 3.7

This is an excerpt of the EDFX310 report form from my third year placement. It shows that I was able to
meet all of the criteria for this standard through out the placement.

The image below is an excerpt from my EDFX213 placement form showing my supervising teachers
comments about this standard.

Develops lesson plans which detail learning goals clearly. Develops effective timing for lessons. Ensures
resources are relevant and meaningful to students needs. Critically evaluates resources for teaching and
learning effectiveness. Acknowledges and values student responses and attempts to engage all students.
Evaluates promptly after completion of lesson.

Below is some feedback that my Supervising teacher left for my Inquiry unit planner during EDFX310. It
shows that I was able to meet standard 3.2, through sequencing lessons to ensure that they flowed. I met
standard 3.5 by using different strategies to model learning, so that students would understand what was
being taught or what they needed to do. I was also able to organise and plan for different materials and
resources to be used.

Build in use of strong planning to enable teacher and student monitoring Story maps, performas,
retells, expo, evaluations. Sequencing of sessions to scaffold expectations and timelines. Organisation of
materials and resources. Checklists developed to monitor student progress. Support for students who
were falling behind the timelines.

Feedback from the same teacher during the same placement but for another unit of work (geometry and
shape). This shows that I was able to meet standard 3.6 by evaluating the unit so that I could adapt it and
make changes to meet student needs. It also shows my ability to meet standard 3.4 by selecting and using
resources that suited and helped to model what was being taught. I constantly scaffolded and modelled
learning to ensure that all students were able to understand. I was able to sequence the lessons, meeting
standard 3.2.

Followed and modified plans according to level and students needs. Plans strong on sequencing learning
from lesson to lesson and evaluated on for further planning during implementation. Resources managed
for lessons to match concepts being explored. Excellent explicit modelling. Rituals and expectations
established. Various feedback and assessments used. Modified instruction to vary delivery of learning
and cater for learning styles. Assessment/evaluation/post assessment included.
