ONEtime PRODUCTIONS in ASSOCIATION with BARUCH PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

PRESENTS THE RAUNCHY AND RAUCUS
VAMPIRE LESBIANS OF SODOM BEGINNING JUNE 17TH @ 8pm.
ONEtime Productions in association with Baruch Performing Arts Center (55
Lexington Avenue, entrance on 25th Street between Lexington and 3rd Aves.)
presents the raucous and raunchy Vampire Lesbians of Sodom by Charles
Busch, beginning June 17th at 8pm. Vampire Lesbians of Sodom is directed by
Diana Harkin.
Vampire Lesbians of Sodom is a fantastic send-up of vampiric tales and actresss
vanity. The story begins in Sodom, transports us to 1920s Hollywood, and drops
us on a modern stage. The rivalry begins in Sodom where a guard is lamenting his
social life and a succubus is awaiting a sacrificial virgin. The virgin is turned into
a succubus and a 2000 year battle of feminine wiles, toothy marks, and blackmail
ensues. It is a hilarious love-hate relationship that sustains them both. Vampire
Lesbians of Sodom was first produced in 1984 and went on to become one of the
longest running Off- Broadway plays in history. THIS PRODUCTION IS FOR
MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY. The cast of Vampire Lesbians of Sodom includes
Cj Dion, Diana Harkin, Kendra MacDevitt, Matt McAllister, Chris Russell, Keelie
Sheridan, and Tara White.
Charles Busch, also known as the drag queen Mary Dale is best known for his
quirky and campy spoofs. He is considered a treasure in the Off-Broadway
community and was granted a special award for career achievements by the
Drama Desk in 2003. He has written such classics as Psycho Beach Party, The
Tale of the Allergist s Wife, and the short-lived Broadway musical, Taboo. The Tale
of the Allergist's Wife opened on Broadway in 2000. This was Buschs first play for a main stream
audience. The audience loved it and it ran for 777 performances. In 2001, the play received a Tony
Award Nomination for Best Play. His newest play, The Third Story was presented in
2008 by MCC. In addition, he has appeared in many films and continues to hone
his craft as an actor.
