Technology
Television
Watching games on TV can help students identify certain offensive and defensive
tactics used in games to show different ways they can be used and the
scenarios. It is also another learning style because it is visual. It will
show the students a faster paced example.
YouTube
Showing YouTube videos can specify a certain play or skill so students can watch and
rewind to copy the form used.
Camera
With parental consent
The teacher can film students and then show them the skill they are trying to do and
give direct feedback about the skill and ways to improve. The teacher
can pause and rewind the skill performed by the student to directly
point out issue and then give ideas to fix it.
iPad
Mobile technology to be able to show students videos online so they can mimic, film
students to improve form, and film students for skills test for an in
depth evaluation.
SmartBoard
Using a SmartBoard can allow the teacher to draw plays on the screen for students,
quickly erase anything not needed on the screen, and allow the teacher
to highlight plays online and draw on a screen that is on YouTube.
Assessment Inclusion
Skills Test at end of unit
Tested on skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, offensive tactics, defensive
tactics.
