Susie} ‘Tharu,i-Charge of Course Development, formerly Professor ofEnlish Foreign Languages Univesity, to give the prnt-read version ofthe textbook forthe Gender Sensity in UG (Course by mid-August 2015 in Telgu and English versions. Dr Susie J Thora prepared the textbook for ‘Gender Sensitzaton’. The Unversity conducted a special mecting of Board of Studies In Humanitios & Socal Sciences on 15:102015 in the Conference Hall of Birector, Academie & Planning, INT University Hyderabad nd made the following resoltions: 1. The Couse Objectives and Outcomes along with the sylabus ofthe course ‘Gender Sensitization’ have been discussed at length 2. The new course on ‘Gender Sensitization’ should be Introduced as a Compulsory Foundation Course with at last tree credits at year UG level fr al ranches of {Enineerng, Technology and Pharmacy ‘3. The Board suggested that a local Telugu proverb equivalent tothe Chinese proverb “half the sky’ 9 considered for the textbook as the tile ‘Half the Sky’ has already been used by Nicolas Kristof and Sheryl Wudunn. 4 ‘Malthe Heavens’ was sugested asa possible tie ofthe textbook ‘5. The Board suggested that a three language formula be adopted and the text book. ‘may be avaabe in Hind als forthe benefit of non Telugu students 6.
