This is a great book that

shows diversity because it is
a twist on the classic story of
Cinderella.

The story of The Egyptian

Cinderella shows kids the difference
in cultures especially if they know
the original version of Cinderella.
Students can learn more about the
Egyptain heritage including more
about the geography, as well as the
Gods. I think if students were to
compare and contrast this version to
the original students could grasp a
better understanding how different
cultures can be.

times have changed.
This is a great read for any
age however there are not
many lesson plans you could
base off of it

This book is not only great because

it teaches about diversity, but it also
teaches kids about friendship. It
highlights the L.A. riots and how

I loved this book! It was hard for

me to put it down! Though this
book revolves around kids in middle
school, it held so many valuable
lessons and I found myself relating
to it. The book centers around the
idea of friendship, a good lesson for
anyone of any age to learn about.
Not only this, but towards the end it
fouses on grief and the lost of a
loved one. Though sad, this could
be something valuable to teach kids.

This is such a great book for kids
who are just learning how to read of
even for older kids. It not only
teaches kids about shapes, but by
the end it encourages them to love
the skin they are in. I was especially
touched by this message because I
feel like this is not only something I
struggle with, but others as well.

Each time I read a poem from this
book, I find something new about it
each time. This book would be great
for a poetry unit to show kids the
different types of poems and many
of the unconventional ways of
writing one.

I gave this book a 5 because

of the message behind it!
This is a classic tale that
teaches kids to find their
inner beauty and what makes
them happy in life.

This classic tale of the ugly

duckling shows readers to find their
inner beauty. Though it may take us
a while to discover our worth, when
we do, we will be filled with the
utmost happiness. I found the
picutures in the book to be
interesting and could make a good
lesson on how the pictures
emphasize the story as a whole.

This book is a great one to teach

how you can find love and
friendships from the most unlikely
of people and just how important
friendship is.

I gave this book a 5 because

I felt like its a great book
for any age to read! I am
twenty years old and I still
love to read this book! Not
only does this book teach
kids to use their imagination,
but it also triggers the
question of where they find
happiness from. For Max, he
thought he found happiness
and fun in this imaginary
world, but realistically he
found it in his home.

To me, this book did not have many

conections to the real world which
is what made it so great! I feel like
this is a wonderful book to teach
kids about using their imagination.
Aside from imagination it could
also teach kids about rhym.

She Loved Baseball is a wonderful
book to teach kids about the act of
determiniation. Sometimes we are
quick to give up because people
either tell us to, or they reassure us
that that is just how the world works.
Effa refused to believe in these
answers and did whatever it took to
achieve what she believed to be
right; equal rights among black and
whites in baseball.
